The ACLM 65th Annual Conference has officially concluded! Held from February 28 to March 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas, this landmark event was co-hosted by the University of Houston Law Center, the University of Houston College of Medicine, and the University of Texas Health School of Dentistry. The conference kicked off with a pre-conference career panel on February 27, 2025, and provided attendees with an unparalleled opportunity to explore cutting-edge developments in legal medicine and health law through expert-led discussions and insightful analysis.
A heartfelt thank you to all our distinguished speakers who traveled from across the U.S. and Australia to share their expertise. We also want to express our gratitude to all our attendees for their participation and engagement throughout the conference.

Conference Chairs
Hamid R. Latifi, MD, JD, MA, FCLM
Annual Conference Chair
Dr. Latifi is a nuclear radiologist affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center, and an attorney based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. He is a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine.
Joanne (Jan) O’Dell, DDS, MFS, JD, FCLM
ACLM Secretary and Dental Conference Chair
Dr. O’Dell is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. She completed both her BS and Masters in Forensic Science before Dental School and received advanced training in general dentistry, implant dentistry and her specialty in Endodontics. After 20+ years in private practice she pursued her JD. She has held leadership positions in multiple local, state and national organizations.
